30 Eyeshadows by BritishBeautyBlogger Palette
Review and Swatches
Today I am coming with a review and swatches of the very popular palette by Makeup Revolution London. The palette is called FORTUNE FAVOURS THE BRAVE and was created in collaboration with BritishBeautyBlogger.

The palette retails for 11 pounds on www.tambeauty.com or for 499 CZK on www.makeuprevolution.cz. I bought mine in one of my favourite online shops, www.pinkpanda.cz. It comes in a golden cardboard box which has palette’s name and logo on the front page and with pictures of eyeshadows on the backside.

The palette itself is in a plastic box with not many details. It looks pretty cheap and has a weird gold-beige colour. In fact, I do not like a packaging appearance. But it looks sturdy and travel-friendly.

Inside of the palette, you can find 30 eyeshadows, mix of shimmers and mattes. Names of the eyeshadows are printed on a plastic sheet which is inserted in the palette. Frankly, I would prefer to have them written directly in the palette but it is not a big deal. You get also nice big mirror which is self-standing. It is always a big plus when you travel with the palette.
I was a bit disappointed by the size of the palette. Knowing other Makeup Revolution palettes which are pretty large size, this one appears rather small. The size of the palette is 17×10 cm and the diameter of one eyeshadow pan is 1.8 cm. In the palette, you get 16g of the product which is approximately 0.5g per eyeshadow. Not that much I have to say.

The palette contains a good mixture of shimmer and matte shades and offers a variety of shades from very light to very dark ones. All shades are nicely pigmented and pretty easy to blend. Unfortunately, as you can see from swatches below, many shades appear the same when swatched. Therefore you do not get 30 different eyeshadows as you may expect which is a bit of shame.

The palette contains also duo ended brush. The brush is synthetic with one flat side and one blending side. Unfortunately, it is really poor quality, harsh and basically useless.
Pros:
- good pigmentation and bendability
- good quality for the price
- reasonable variety of shades
- sturdy plastic packaging
- big self-standing mirror
Cons:
- many shades appear the same when swatched
- eyeshadows crease without primer
- eyeshadow pans are pretty small
- weird and unusable brush
- a weird colour of the packaging (not a big deal but I do not like it 🙂 )
Final Recommendation:
It is a good palette for a drugstore price. If you are looking for an affordable basic palette to start your collection then this is a good one. However, do not expect to get 30 really different shades. It is more like 15-20 shades and few doubles. If you already have a collection of eyeshadows then this palette is not “must have” in my opinion. It does not bring anything new or special.
And that’s it for today. I hope you like this review. Let me know if you have this palette and how happy you are with it. If you want to see some looks using this palette, stay tuned for future posts and do not forget to subscribe.
